RUTLAND Furnace Cement is premixed and ready to use, making it one of the easiest cements to apply. Use this smooth consistency cement to bond and seal metal to metal or metal to masonry joints less than 1/8 inch. Fix a crack, seal the collar to the top of a wood stove, or seal between firebricks and prefabricated fireplace. Use this cement anywhere a quality high-temperature adhesive is required for furnaces, firebrick repair, filling gaps, sealing joints, or gluing ceramic logs. Adheres to metal, stone, and firebricks, creating a permanent smoke- and gas-tight seal.

Have No Used it Yet

Any suggestions on this Rutland furnace cement vs. the Rutland furnace mortar. I picked up both from TSC but have not used either one yet. A friend suggested he had good results using the cement to patch a crack in a chimney flue so I figured I would order the cement and try it instead of the mortar TSC had in the store. I am thinking the cement would be more spreadable and easier to work with.

Yes, I recommend this product.

In-store service by shift manager lacking

Haven't used it yet. What should be addressed though is how the County Line log cradle and fire bricks from my order were cancelled and the order couldn't be filled. I understand that this happens, but when I stopped in a store and found I could get the firebricks I needed and simply asked for a box to put them in, the store manager acted like it was a complete inconvenience to him and neglected to help me in any way. I have more to say about that visit if you're interested. Feel free to reach out if you wish.

Yes, I recommend this product.

the best tub furnace cement to use for your money

this is the better to get out of all one for the price and two it does not dry out like the one that is used for the gun plus it dries a little faster.
