My chicks just eat it all up.

I bought this to start my chicks. They were about 1 week old and had been eating similar crumble at the store, but without the whole grain. The millet is too large and does not break down, even if chicks have access to grit. The chicks that ate the millet had crops that got small and rock hard and began to fail to thrive. One died, All but 2 out of the eight chicks (both English Orpingtons) from 3 different breeds (plus Russian Orloffs and Blue Wyandottes) got impacted crops. The Eng. Orps may have been older. Am trying treatment of force-fed olive oil, then egg yolk mixed with water, grit, and ground feed mixed, with some improved chick response to try to get them to pass the millet. Have sieved the millet from the feed using a 3mm/1/8" sieve and mixed with grit to prevent any more millet from being eaten. Millet likely too much for small chicks..

Good product, healthy option, good price. Helps chickens with their growth and gives them better immunity. It crumbles well, appears palatabill, and is easy for the birds to digest.

Chicken seem to love it. They're growing really fast and looking really healthy. The crumble is the perfect size. The digestibility seems simple and I'm open for helping immunity
