A spring mechanism provides maximum tension when used on the wire. Please note that these heavy-duty gate handles are suitable for use on electric fence wire only.

Easy to use

Easy to install. I'm 60. Just moved to a rural area. Discovered I needed to up the protection of my garden. So I installed a 100' x 100' electric fence around the area. I put in 2 gate areas.

Ad is a little misleading. Says handles are heavy duty rubber. Handles are plastic. Wouldn't of bought them if i knew they weren't rubber. Will use. But probably wont buy again.
