Great Tester - Love it

I was having issues with my old fence charger. My neighbor had a hotter charger, so I went over to take a look. He had this tester and he showed how lit worked. After he showed me, I tried my old tester. I got lit up. I borrowed his tester and it showed 7.62 kv. I purchased a new charger and this tester at the same time. It showed that the new charger had 12.6kv. I watched my problem cow and she tested the wire, gave quite a show when she touched it. I followed the fence down all branches and validated the voltage was the same all around. I am very happy with this tester

Not sure I would try this again

The tester just started showing random numbers even when not grounded. When you ground it it shows voltage before you touch the fence .It worked for about a year then stopped working properly

too dim to use

I had the other 8 light type but it is very hard to read in the daylight. I bought this one thinking it must be better. It is not. Digital display is too dim to read outdoors in the daylight. I cannot tell if or where the decimal point is.

No, I do not recommend this product.
