I have owned and operated wood stoves for over 40 years in different properties that I have lived in free standing and inserts and this is my opinion of this stove. This is my second season of burning with this stove and these are my observations and how I have modified the stove to make it usable. First of all the damper on top after a month or so was stuck with soot from the chimney and unusable. Customer service sent me a now one which comes in three pieces and after trying to install it I gave up as its unusable by design. I bought a solid baffle board for about 50 bucks online, cut it to same size as the original and installed and it is working well. Im lucky to have a chimney that goes straight up with a good draft and the smoke clears out the front so its not a problem with smoke coming in the house when the door is open to load wood. The other problem by design there is a hole in the bottom of the stove above the ash pan. Why its there I have no idea but at night time when loading the stove that hole draws air into the firebox and makes the stove burn way to hot and wastes wood. I put a magnet over it when I want to stove to damper down and just use the lever on top to control the air flow. With these two changes I use the stove and it works fairly well. The blower fan that comes with it is loud, has no thermostat and doesnt move much air. I have a pedestal fan behind the stove and that works well. Other than having to screw around with a magnet on the bottom it is a fairly nice stove. Ive owned the high end ones and this one was about a third the cost and as the old adage goes you get what you pay for.

During the very first use of my stove, I opened the door to add more fuel (wood). When I opened the door, the door gasket had stuck to the frame of the stove and pulled right out of the channel (where the gasket is supposed to be glued to). I believe there was likely excess glue on the outside of the gasket. When the stove warmed up, the glue adhered to the frame of the stove and pulled the gasket right off the door. Amazingly poor quality! On top of that, I asked for a replacement of the door since I didn't feel I should have to "repair" my brand new stove. That request was denied and they only offered a replacement gasket and cement. Thank goodness Tractor Supply values their customers rather than Pleasant Hearth.

Good stove other than the damper has issues. This is my second baffle board replacement as it cracks on the back corners of the baffle board and this time the baffle damper door cracked in half. Will need to find a new baffle board assembly somewhere now.

DON'T Buy this garbage, 3rd time lighting fire since i got the stove and the damper is broken. Looks like it's make out of pressed wood. should be make out of metal.
