Best I've had for any price .....

I am old school and have heated with the best. Ashley, Fisher, Buck Stove, etc .... back in the 70's and early 80's it was the trend to heat with wood. I am now retired, living off grid in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I live in a 1100 sq ft cabin and this heater is beyond reproach. I installed it according to instructions and didn't try to change anything about the heater. My flue is well above the 2 foot minimum above the ridge line and the draw is perfect. I can load this heater up at night and still have logs and fire in the morning. This heater is just perfect. I could ask for nothing better.

DO NOT BUY

Stove extremely small and is configured for only very small fires. You have to remove smoke flow inhibiting insulation at top of stove to even make a proper fire!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! Ash pan is just stored under stove ans is useless waste. Have to clean out after EACH use due to small interior.

Delivery was delayed a bit but still received within a week of the orginal promised date. Looks nice and fits in a smaller cottage while providing plenty of heat.

Exactly as described

This stove is perfect for my 900 sq ft cabin. It heats adequately. Everything came intact with all parts included. Looks beautiful in my living room. I'm very happy with it. I did put an extension on the damper rod. As others noted, it is way too short for convenience.

Small Stove; Questionable Quality

This stove is a lot smaller “in real life,” than it looks in pictures. The professional installer said it is not a quality stove and doesn’t recommend the brand. He also stated that “good quality” can’t be found for less than a couple thousand dollars, which I didn’t have (on top of the $4k installation). However, this stove did receive pretty good user ratings compared to other brands. From a complete “beginner’s” perspective, it seems well built. It’s a tight fit getting an 18” log into the firebox. There are nice instructions on how to start a fire, as some stoves are designed for bottom or top down fires. I only have the 3 initial burns done. At 500 deg, with a blower, I could only feel the heat while sitting right in front of the stove. That is too hot for a regular fire, but I hope that if the fire burns for more than 20 minutes it will heat the stated 1200 square feet. I plan to use this as sole heat source for a mountain home. I would include pictures, but this review app won’t let me. :/

We are not certain why your installer would suggest that this isn't a quality stove. The stove is definitely capable of heating up to 1,200 square feet. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-750-2723 ext. 5050 or at [email protected] USSC
