I switched all 4 of my horses to this feed over a month ago and they love it!! I have 3 senior horses and 1 middle aged horse. I like the high fat, high fiber, low starch formula of this feed.This feed will make a mash in minutes no matter warm or cold water. I am not sure why one of the reviews said it was a sweet feed, but it is clearly not a sweet feed. Also you cannot beat the great coupon offers they have on this product right now. So far the best senior feed I have ever tried and that includes Purina, Dumore,Seminole, and Triple Crown.

I bought this feed to begin the transition from Nutrena's Life Design Senior to Safechoice's new senior feed since Nutrena has decided to phase out the Life Design series. My horse, a 27 year old TB loves the Life Design Senior. However, despite claims of comparability in taste, he has refused to eat the new Safechoice Senior and has dropped from eating 13 lbs a day to eating 6. Now I have to look around for a new horse feed that will match the taste of Nutrena Life Design -- a very frustrating situation.....at least for me.

It's a shame that my local TS never has the items I need. I have to drive all the way to either Wilkes County or Watauga County to get the things I need. Not want.... NEED. I have a rescue farm and the animals I have are in need of proper nutrition and care. Someone needs to teach the mgr at Ashe county how to do inventory adjustments. I used to be mgr at a local store so I know it's possible.....

SafeChoice Senior helps keep weight levels up to normal!

I feed SafeChoice Senior to my 25 year old QH gelding. After trying numerous other products to get his weight back up and maintain it, we found the SafeChoice Senior to work quicker and easier. He likes it and looks forward to feeding time. He also gets an equal amount of alfalfa pelets and virtually unlimited bermuda grass hay. But those two alone never could keep his weight up to standard levels. We have equine dental work done annually but it wasn't until we tried Nutrena SafeChoice Senior that we got a handle on it. We've fed this now for four months and all is well.
