Q: Can I use this heater inside home
5 months ago- A: No, the Master Kerosene/Diesel Torpedo Forced Air Heater, 3,500 sq. ft., 140,000 BTU is not safe to use inside your home. It is a direct-fired heater and is explicitly certified and intended for outdoor use only, or for temporary heating of buildings under construction, alteration, or repair with adequate ventilation.5 months agoHelpful?
Q: Can you use a hose on the outlet end to heat a targeted area? If yes, what diameter hose is needed?
a year ago- A: No, this is a direct-fired heater. The discharge temperature is too hot for ducting.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Hown long can this run at one time
a year ago- A: Hello, Thank you for your question. Max operating hours: 10 hrs. on one full tanka year agoHelpful?
Q: How many gallons of kerosene does it use per hr
2 years ago- A: Hi there, According to the vendor: The MH-140T-KFA-MA consumes 1.1 gallons per hour.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: My friend said that I need a new switch for my 140. It’s the on/off switch. Do you all carry them?
3 years ago- A: Hey, Replacement parts and accessories can be ordered directly from Master. I've listed there contact information below: 800-641-6996 https://masterindustrialproducts.com/contact/3 years agoHelpful?
Q: How does it run with just diesel fuel? Much easier to get.
4 years ago- A: This item is currently not available for purchase.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: What is the difference between this model and the one without the "MA" addition.
5 years ago- A: Not much if you compare the product details. I bought this model because it was on sale for half price on Black Friday. Multi-Fuel, 10-gallon tank and built in thermostat, can’t go wrong.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: I see from some of your answers on fuel questions that a suggestion of using a 30/70 mixture of kerosene/diesel was given. What is the benefit of this and would it matter what type of kerosene or diesel was used?
5 years ago- A: Also diesel is pretty thick and gets thicker and the temperature drops. Some of these torpedo heaters can get bucky if you try to run pure diesel through them in really cold temps. So if they aren't running at all, mixing the fuel as suggested above thins out the diesel and usually gets these up and running. If the heater is running, but running rough, thinning the fuel out gets them running much smoother and cleaner just as Mixburn101 suggested. PS I have not heard of mixing rubbing alcohol into the diesel that is a new one. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING I'M STATING AS A WARNING-I DO NOT PERSONAL ADVISE DOING THIS....if you google this issue, quite a few people also mix regular gasoline with the diesel-WARNING - IF YOU DECIDED TO USE THIS APPROACH - YOU MUST DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND KNOW YOUR MIXTURE RATIO (MY UNDERSTANDING NEVER GO OVER 1 GAL GAS TO 4 GAL KEROSENE AND BETTER TO UNDER THAT RATIO).5 years agoHelpful?
Q: I have a 40 x 70 garage that is insulated with a 16' ceiling. Do I need secondary air when running this ?
5 years ago- A: While that is a big building I would be very cautious of running this without having a fresh air flow coming in. A carbon dioxide detector may help you with feeling safer with it.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can you use this to heat inside your home if necessary?
6 years ago- A: No, these units are not meant to be used indoors, they will create fumes and carbon monoxide and create a hazardous situation indoors.6 years agoHelpful?
