Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heats things up fast in shop Worked great straight out of the box, had it about a month, no problems, it is a diesel guzzler though, love the quietness, you can actually talk to someone right beside it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Master 220,000 Worked once, now fails to ignite I bought the Master 220,000 heater before Christmas expecting to heat my 40X60X16 shop when the cold weather hit. Now that the cold weather's here I setup the heater, fueled it up with kerosene and was pleasantly surprised when it fired up within seconds of turning it on. It heated my shop from 40 degrees to 68 degrees in about an hour, then upon reaching the desired tempurature shut off. Unfortunately it never re-lit and when I checked the display it was showing an E1 error. So I unplugged the heater, let it sit for an hour, then plugged it back in. The error cleared, but when I turned the unit back on it initiated the startup cycle, only this time raw fuel ran out the front of the unit and it failed to ignite, again resulting in another E1 error message. I read the troubleshooting section of the manual which gives a list of things that could be wrong, but nothing in the way of a troubleshooting step by step process guide to systematically eliminate each problem. So now I'm searching Youtube videos for more information and will attempt to find the problem tomorrow after work. If unsuccessful I'll be contacting customer service tomorrow. The last thing I want to do is to have to spend more time working on this unit when I already have a list of stuff to get done. In my line of business we're taught to design products that are reliable, each and every time. We stress first time quality and in my opinion, there's NOTHING worse than spending a ton of money on a brand new product only to learn that it doesn't work.

How bad does this smell while running

Asked by: edfitz
The smell depends on fuel you will be using. It doesn't matter if you use diesel or kerosene, but the space needs to be well ventilated. With good ventilation the smell shouldn't be overpowering, but you will be able to tell that its running. If the smell does happen to be overbearing and there's not enough clean air flow, contacting Master's technical support can get you to a representative that can assist you in tweaking the settings to help lower the issue. You can reach Master at (800) 779-3267.
