Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential for car restoration project I bought another classic car project that will require a frame-off restoration. From past experience, my smaller compressor with 10 scfm rating, just cannot perform sandblasting. I knew that this beast with 24 cfm could do it easily because my brother has the same unit, and it has been flawless. We both bought our I/R compressors at TSC and I couldn’t be happier with the performance of this compressor for sandblasting, operation of more powerful tools that require more cfm than the old compressor could provide, and I know that reliability is an integral part of I/R products. TSC loaded the compressor onto my trailer and I used cargo straps that i purchased at TSC to secure the unit to my trailer to haul it home. You will need a loader or forklift to unload it, and wiring was simple since i already had wiring out of the garage wall from my retired compressor. This unit operates rather quietly, easily sandblasts a rusty car frame, does not struggle to keep up when removing wheels from a tractor/trailer, and provides a sense of reliability/security with the power it has. I strongly recommend this specific compressor for the DIY’er and i have no doubt that it would handle constant, industrial use for a professional shop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst experience at tractor supply! Purchased aircompresser, loaded onto trailer, brought home, tried to use and my results were: not only was the pressure switch bad, it kept blowing off all the blowoff valves and we realized it was a USED aircompressor and was not told that it was a return. (For obvious reasons)loaded it back on a trailer, drove 45 miles to the next store, returned this aircompressor and bought the identical one. Came home to try it and although this one was brand new and not a return we had the pressure valve issue once again! Contacted the company the next business day and they sent a brand new and better quality valve then the air compressor came with! Once we put the new pressure valve on, it worked great! However, this is not a 20 pound piece of equipment! We were hauling around several hundred pounds each time! Then had to travel to get another one! It was ridiculous that they would even put such a junky valve on in the first place! This was the most expensive compressor! And tractor supply should have informed us that it was a return! We paid on electrician on a saturday only to find out they both were junk! We were never comped by tractor supply for any inconvenience!

Can this be wired 208 single phase?

Asked by: WHunt
The short answer is no, but you could have an electrician install a transformer to boost the voltage to 230V so you can run the unit on the proper voltage.

purchased the ingersoll rand 7.5hp 80gal. unit (model 2475n7.5 tsc) it comes with two different oils. all season select synthetic recip coolant and all season select lubricant what is the difference and which one do I use? to fill up the unit.

Asked by: lost23
They are the same oil. The manufacturer reported a labeling error on some bottles that read “All Season Select Synthetic Coolant”. It is NOT coolant.
