Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sorry I can't give a glowing report I bought mine to do serious compressor work, air tools polishing stone. I went with the synthetic oil as recommended, compressor worked great. Now my season was only 3 months in the summer so when I start I never stop for more than a day so I never noticed that all the time it was leaking air. So months later i know it full of air and I go out to find no air!!! Well I'm no dope andi get my soapy water out and start leak hunting and can't find a leak. Now it goes from a full tank to no air in three days, and no leaks??? where is the air going? it must be going back through the valves! Next time a quincy!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible experience This compressor came wired wrong from the factory. When I finally got it wired the tank leaks. Over 3 weeks and still waiting for service

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't Last. Had this compressor for about 3 years. Used 5 days a week, kept clean and oil changed. Motor smoked, took too local electric motor repair shop. Said stator was burned up. Also stated rest was clean and no reason for it. Is a Weg specific motor for Ingersoll Rand. Replacement is over half the cost of the complete unit. Very disappointed. Before I spend that on a motor, I will replace compressor with a Quincy which runs at half the motor speed. I have a 23 year old Coleman Black Max still running to get by with until then.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One is never enough. I have this one and another. I had to replace the capacitors outside of the warranty. I use this just about every day. There is nothing like a big compressor with enough cfm to run your tools. I have one of these in each of my garages.

Can this be wired 208 single phase?

Asked by: WHunt
The short answer is no, but you could have an electrician install a transformer to boost the voltage to 230V so you can run the unit on the proper voltage.

 What is the difference between a 2475N 7.5 and a 2475N 7.5 FP ? And is the 2475N 7.5  a commercial type?

Asked by: Rob 123
There is no longer an FP option. For the 2475N7.5, there is only the V and P option available The V version has a starter. The P version has a magnetic starter and electronic drain valve and a low oil level switch.

purchased the ingersoll rand 7.5hp 80gal. unit (model 2475n7.5 tsc) it comes with two different oils. all season select synthetic recip coolant and all season select lubricant what is the difference and which one do I use? to fill up the unit.

Asked by: lost23
They are the same oil. The manufacturer reported a labeling error on some bottles that read “All Season Select Synthetic Coolant”. It is NOT coolant.
