Happy Camper

I did a lot of research on compressors and almost decided on the 3.7 HP 60 gallon Dewalt that was on sale for a great price at Tractor Supply. However, after reading many reviews stating that the motors have been burning up and that the replacements cost almost as much as the entire compressor. It seems that all the compressor manufacturers are making one of the 3.7 hp compressors with pretty good output. Many of the reviews have the same comments about the motor failures. Therefore, I decided to go to the next size up, since the output on the 3.7 HP units were barely enough to do some of the sand blasting, I wanted to do, anyway. I reviewed many of the 5HP units within many different brands. Dewalt and was among the two brands that fell in my price range. The other brand I looked at had some great specs and reputation, but none were available within hundreds of miles. I liked what I saw in the Dewalt high output 5HP unit only find out that they were in high demand and only a few available in the country. After talking to TS headquarters about availability and performance I found that I was satisfied with the performance and reputation of the Dewalt and found one only 50 miles away. I bought it and as usual TS was great to deal with. The installation went as well as I expected and so far, I am completely satisfied with the project. Could not find any anti-vibration mounting pads that fit without modifying them, so I made my own, which took too long. I am pleased with the compressor installation, look and performance. It is a little loud, but was properly rated at 87db. I did buy the 2-year extended warranty because it starts after the manufacturer's warranty ends TS handles any problems without going back to the manufacturer for help. Thanks Tractor Supply and Dewalt.

I OWNED MANY DEWALT PRODUCTS IN MY LIFE AND STILL DO. HOWEVER AFTER ALL THIS I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER DEWALT PRODUCT AGAIN!!! I WAS GONNA BUY INGEROLL BUT I READ THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS BAD BUT THIS IS INEXCUSABLE!! DO NOT BUY DEWALT !!YRE BETTER OFF BUY ASIAN PRODUCTS CHEAPER AND AT LEAST YOU KNOW IT’S NOT GONNA FUNCTION, BUT BUY DEWALT AND THIS HAPPENS!! I’M DONE NEVER AGAIN DEWALT ! AS FOR DEWALT WRITING THEIR TYPICAL AUTOMATED MESSAGE OF CALL THE DEWALT TEAM, PLEASE DON’T even go there!! I HAVE THE NUMBER AND YOU HAVE MY CALLS AND EMAILS!! TOMORROW I WILL PURCHASE A SWITCH AND WILL INSTALL IT MYSELF,TRACTOR SUPPLY HAS ONE FOR SALE! AS FOR DEWALT TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND SEND ME THE SWITCH JUST KEEP IT AND PUT IT WHERE THE SUN DON’T SHINE!!! GARBAGE COMPANY
