The DEWALT 3/8 in. NPT Desiccant Air Cleaner cleans air and removes water vapor right at the beginning to help support applications that require oil-free, moisture-free air, like spray painting. Two separate systems condition the air: An oil-removal filter traps the oil aerosols and the desiccant beads system removes water vapor. An outlet screen on the air cleaner keeps desiccant particles from entering the air stream, protecting air tools. The desiccant beads change color when it needs to be changed or recharged. The desiccant air cleaner system includes a quick-release bowl to easily view the fluid level and it is protected against impact by metal guards. A quarter-turn drain makes maintenance easier. The DEWALT desiccant air cleaner is built with great quality construction and performance in order to get the job done.

Works like it should

Works well for running my normal tools… keeps the moisture out. Only thing is that it came with desiccant that was already pink (saturated). Had to put it in the oven at 200 for a couple of hours to dry it out.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Horrible quality and poorly engineered.

This is the "exact" same system that Harbor sells for seventy bucks under the name Merlin. And like Merlin, DeWalt does not offer a separately sold mounting bracket to join the separately sold, pressure regulator to this unit; even though they're clearly designed to be enjoined accordingly. They also lubricate the o rings, ensuring oil contamination in your paint job. And as others have stated, the canisters are loose and sloppy. You're paying about one hundred bucks extra for the brand name, and its not even worth the harbor price... Don't do it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Must have

This is a must have for any painter & the "change filter" indicator as well as the desiccant color shift are fantastic features. They feel loose but seal nicely under pressure.

Yes, I recommend this product.
