Q: What is the best type of post to use with this wire? Would t-post work or should we use wood?
2 months ago- A: Hi Neighbor! Yes, you can use both t-posts and wood posts with this wire. Reviewers recommend using sturdy wood posts for corners and t-posts with plastic insulators for the sections in between. This setup allows for longer distances between the t-posts while maintaining a strong, permanent fence system.2 months agoHelpful?
Q: How do you open it?
7 months ago- A: Hi Laura! To open a package of high-tensile wire, first, place it on a level surface, then use a box cutter or scissors to cut the plastic bag open and discard the bag. Next, carefully use a box cutter to slice open the seals on the cardboard box. Finally, lift the top off the box and grasp the ends of the flanges to lift the spool out, being careful not to touch the wire.6 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is the 170,000PSI wire still available. This stuff is too brittle
9 months ago- A: Hi Neighbor! Yes, the Bekaert 12.5 Gauge, 170K PSI High Tensile Smooth Wire is still available, and is a good alternative if the 200,000 PSI version is proving too brittle for your needs. The lower-tensile 170,000 PSI wire is designed to be more flexible for handling while still maintaining excellent strength and reliability for electric fencing and other agricultural uses.9 months agoHelpful?
