I'm giving this a 4-star rating on a few points. 1. Its meant as a garden mix. Its meant to be mixed with additional soil and the wood chips are meant to add compost that will break down over time. 2. I bought several bags of this for its woodchip content. After a rain it adds insulation to the top of the soil which reduces moisture loss and restricts weed growth. 3. I found this mix to do great when mixed with the Organic Outdoor Potting mix from Miracle Gro. 1 bag of this to 2 bags of miracle grow. Makes the mix very loamy. One suggestion I would make to Tractor Supply on what could be added to this mix is Azomite. Its cheap and you won't need much to go a long way.

I purchased GroundWorks All Purpose Potting Soil from Tractor Supply, but it is not potting soil at all. The bag is full of what looks like mulch and wood chips, and nowhere does it state that it’s mulch. When something is labeled potting soil, I expect a product suitable for planting, not filler. Unfortunately, this has been my experience with every GroundWorks product I’ve tried so far. Very misleading and disappointing.

I am an avid gardener and used this in my one garden and my garden beds. I would not recommend this product had such an issue with nothing growing it turned into hard solid dirt and just seemed very poor quality.

Ordered online and never received order! Called 877-718-6750 only to be on hold for 1 hour. I want a refund!!!!!!!!!!
