    Combo mill/ lathe

    This appear to be a good hobby lathe. I am disappointed with the finish. The manufacturer covered poor casting finish with a polyester filler and then painted it. I would not have noticed, but as there was no surface cleaning the filler fell off the mounting legs legs on the right side of the machine. I will clean the area and repaint hoping not to find large voids or casting sand pockets.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    31" 3/4 HP Combo Lathe/Mill

    So many problems. Even with the gibs tight the saddle wobbles leaving the article you’re working on with a candy cane pattern. The spindle is about four inches to short so you can’t reach small parts mounted on the table to mill, everything needs to be up on stilts or in a large enough vice to take up the space. The lathe spindle continuously leaks oil. The tool rest assembly is so flexible you can see it flex taking as little as a 10 thousands cut on mild steel. The marks on the hand wheels are not to the right scale so they’re useless.

    No, I do not recommend this product.
