Keeping your piping running smoothly is a lot easier with a DuraPlus 8 in. Diameter Firestop Radiation Shield! Use the radiation shield in ceiling/floor penetrations when a ceiling support is not used to help reinforce and protect the penetration point. That being said, it is not required when passing through the roof. The 8 in. radiation shield's unique design fits on underside of the ceiling and adjusts to cover framing.

  • Designed to stay cool on the outside, to provide a hot draft on the inside, to boost stove efficiency, and to provide for a fire-safe design that protects both the chimney and the building
  • Triple-wall chimney features two insulating layers (refractory blanket, plus air space)
  • Refractory insulation is held securely in position, eliminating hot spots common with loose-fill type insulations
  • Use radiation shield in ceiling/floor penetrations when a ceiling support is not used
  • 8 in. radiation shield is not required when passing through your roof
  • Fits on underside of the ceiling and adjusts to cover framing
