Diamond Crystal Iron Fighter Salt Pellets (up to 99.6% pure salt) contain an FDA-approved, highly effective rust remover which helps to prevent rust stains on laundry and household fixtures. It is recommended that you use these Iron Fighter salt pellets in most water softeners, as directed by the manufacturer. These rust remover salt pellets come in a 40 pound bag. Per the vendor, "Without more details or specific testing, I would not recommend using our iron fighter product in conjunction with sodium hypochlorite (bleach), which is commonly referred to as “Chlorine”. Iron fighter contains citric acid as a resin cleaner, which can lower the pH of the water and could potentially form toxic Chlorine gas (Cl2)."9 months agoHelpful?
