    have several these they help keeping wind and some what is and insulator , I put insulation in side ones i bought and yes they are better than just having your water spicket open to the out doors weather , for the cost few dollar's they work for myself ,

    Surprisingly Durable

    Went to turn off spigot from inside the house just before a freeze, and the handle fell down into the wall. I quickly went out and bought this. It appeared as though it would work, but wasn't too sure about the insulation level with just air, so I shoved some dish packing foam (had just moved) behind it before I tightened it. It worked well with no problems. What really surprised me is that something this inexpensive lasted not only one season, but three!!
