- A: Dear Timmy, Thank you for your interest in our Concord grapes. Concord is an excellent option for making juice or jellies; they are not traditionally used for wine. Grapes fruit on last years growth so any old woody growth should be removed. In general, you want a hard wood structure along your wires that shoots out new growth each year. Concords are aggressive growers. I would recommend spur pruning so that you can get the most productivity from your vine. Poor Customer Service

I placed on on-line order for this and two other trees on April 24th 2026. I planted the grape vine according to the directions on the package. As of today the plant has failed to show any signs of life. I lifted the plant to check the roots and it's the same dead roots that it had when I planted it. My issue is with the poor customer service of Tractor Supply. I've sent emails, waited on the phone for 20 minutes only to be disconnected and jerked around by the Ai loop. I just want them to replace the dead grape vine they sent me. I've invested money in building an arbor and are now months behind. I will never buy on-line from Tractor Supply again.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought 2 of these in 2020 because what else was there to do and threw them in the ground and neglected them. In 2022 as they were firing off new shoots at a rapid rate I built a trellis for them and had a small harvest. 2023 & 24 I actually research grape cultivation and properly took care of them and each year I used a steam juicer and produced 3+ gallons of juice off the 2 vines.
Yes, I recommend this product.
