Plants are compact and grow quite well in containers in areas of full sun as long as the soil is kept consistently moist. The plants will mature 57 days after planting to a size of 24 inches tall, with heads between 5-6 inches. Harvest the heads once they are large and fully developed with tight buds.     After 48 days I should see some small heads. Planted in fall temps, full sun, PH 6.5 in excellent mix, 1 time fish emulsion fertilizer, and only rain water from barrels. Beautiful leaves, no broccoli. Will not buy Bonnie ever again.

    Unbelieably good flavor

    This broccoli was my first winter growing experience. I live in central northern Arizona and we have had several night freezes, so I have religiously uncovered the broccoli every morning and covered it back up every night. Mine is in a 4' x 6' raised bed with very rich soil mixture with a lot of compost. I panted about 15 plants closer together (12" apart) than the recommended spacing, but the plants are producing decent size heads (4"). We ate some last night and the flavor was so sweet and so different from store-bought broccoli. Also, I have cooked some of the leaves and they are tender like chard and delicious so no part of the plant will be lost.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
