Q: Would this work well on a very large wooden deck? I will need to move snow 4 to 8 feet deep at times…

Q: Can this unit be operated by a user in a wheelchair? If my hands need to be on the blower's controls, then obviously I can't propel the chair with my hands... So the unit would need to have the power (and traction) to pull me along.

Q: I have to go down a couple about four steps to get to my sidewalk and then I'm going to have to come up those four steps to get back up to my approach to my house, will this machine be able to go up with the track in reverse

  • A: Hello. Track-drive models, with rubberized tank or bulldozer style drive tracks, are beneficial for those who have more of a sloping or uneven surface to clear. Track-drive allows for increased traction and always includes power steering to assist maneuvering on this type of surface. Track-drive provides the greatest amount of traction, and is especially popular with sloping driveways, gravel, and areas that experience extreme surface icing conditions.

  • A: Plastic or nylon It’s a great machine worth every cent in my opinion. It can’t be stopped ; pavement, gravel, and grass are no match for it. Tears right over it all.

  • A: This is an EXCELLENT snow blower, someone else said they returned it and bought the Honda, the Honda Trac Model costs about double the Cub Cadet. I have the 26 3X trac model and it is wonderful, if ANY snow blower starts bogging down, that means you need to go SLOWER. It all depends on the snow, heavy or light. The Street plow makes piles 4 feet high here at end of my driveway in the Green Mountains, my Cub Cadet 3X 26 trac GOES right threw it. Just make sure it is delivered intact, no broken pallet, box etc. Make sure the intake isn't bent and don't accept unit if it is. I am heading into 2nd season with this unit so I just started it for the 1st time since last Winter, started right up. OIL is still perfectly clean and it didn't use a drop. The tracs are WONDERFUL and so much fun to use. Who doesn't love tracs?

Doing it's job!

Bought this a week before the first snow. And thank goodness I did! My plow is currently out of commission so I had to use this for my entire driveway. I have no point of reference since this is my first snow blower, but I'm loving it. It had some hiccups getting started and the manual was soaked from display at TSC, but after a brief learning curve I got this thing figured out pretty good.

Terrible Snow Blower I must have bought a lemon

I bought the 3x 26 inch Snow blower November 2019 never used it or put gas in it to Sept 2020. It started in September I wanted to set it up for the winter. I went to use it in November 2020 it would not start. I contacted Cub Cadet they sent me to a shop to have it repaired. They said it was the Carburetor and it had to be replaced.$$$$ later Cub Cadet stated it's wear and tear and not covered under the warranty. I used it for the first time Feb 2021 I went 50 feet down my driveway the auger stopped working. I contact Cub Cadet and told me to check the belts and the Auger wire. All were in tack no issues. I started the blower and pressed down on the Auger level to hear a pop. The Auger belt snapped in half. I replaced the belt ran it and was able to go 10 feet and the belt snapped again. I am not happy at all with their product. To top it all off I brought the extended warranty to find out that did not cover anything. Beware of purchasing a Cub Cadet.

What are you thinking?

Most...literally, most of the comments/complaints are b/c Cub refuses to put metal wheels on the blower. The ridiculous plastic wheels break right away...plastic wheels on a 300 lbs machine pushing heavy snow....what could go wrong? Fix this Cub!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

bad quality on the track wheels

Bad quality on the main track wheels its plastic, there is not metal or pins that can help the wheel to make it durable. in the middle of a snow storm it is just frustrating. I had an ariens before and no issues like this.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Big disappointment

I've owned this machine for 3 winters now. It has been a big disappointment. I have to replace auger pins about every other time I use it, and the auger pins are a pain to replace. The machine burns through belts at a surprising rate. I have to replace the belts--both drive and auger--2x per season, which means the machine is fully functional for only a fraction of the season. It seems like the belts start failing as soon as they are installed (and I have tried several repair shops). The reverse is so slow it is useless. The power steering has never worked well. Despite the size of the machine it still gets bogged down (i.e. I have to stop to allow the engine to catch up before it quits, which it does) with levels of snow that are comfortably within its stated capacity. With as much as I have to push the machine, pull it backwards, and manually turn it, I don't feel like I'm using a premium, well-designed snowblower. I'm constantly wrestling with it and am invariably frustrated, tired, and very, very sweaty whenever I use it. I'm going to sell it and replace it next winter.

No, I do not recommend this product.
