Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing quality I purchased this in December, the first two times I used it it worked great. The third time I took it out the rear oil seal on the engine failed. I took it to an authorized warranty repair shop who submitted a warranty claim that was rejected by MTD on the basis that the engine must have been overfilled with oil. It was not, but I have no way to prove this. Now I am stuck paying to repair my new snowblower and wasting time fighting MTD to get reimbursed for what should be covered under their warranty. I have less than 1 hour of use on this snow blower and have spent many times that dealing with this engine failure. The reason I bought new was to avoid such issues, so I am very disappointed in the quality.

I want to buy the Cub Cadet Snowthrower, but my question is this, did cub (MTD) cadet ever fix UNhappycampers cub cadet, the one with the rear engine seal.  I want a company that stands behind they’re product.

does this have hand warmers on it?

Asked by: tas6619

does this have power steering?

Asked by: snowgirl
Hello Snowgirl, this unit does have power steering! There are triggers under the left and right handles that control that feature. When you pull one trigger the wheel on that side will stop, causing the unit to turn in the direction of the trigger that was pulled. Thank you for your question!

Why is this listed as 121cc engine. That surely is a mis-print.

Asked by: MAC of All Trades
Hello MAC of All Trades. The Cub Cadet 2X 28 in. HP Snow Blower has a 277cc Cub Cadet OHV 4-cycle engine. You are correct that the 123cc listed on the website is incorrect. Thank you very much.
