Great Snowblower

This is my first time owning a snowblower so didn’t know what to expect. After a lot of research I knew I wanted a 2 stage for the snow in Valley City , ND. Not much to assemble from the store. Just a couple of cotter pins for the shute and cable. Started first pull and has plenty of power to handle at least the 14” plus drifts we got. I like the ease of the shifting of gears for forward & reverse. I really didn’t need to use the reverse as it’s pretty slow so I just tilted it and pulled when needed because this machine is light enough to do that but heavy enough for the job. I was hoping for a metal chute but it’s plastic but seems durable. I cleared a 3 car driveway plus a 20 ft sidewalk plus about 10-15 ft of area in the street for the mail boxes with no jams or problems. Clears close to pavement as I didn’t need to adjust the two skid plates. Pretty solid machine however in deeper snow maybe 18” and more you’d probably have to go back and forth to clear. I also like the adjustable angle of the chute height that allows you control how far you can throw the snow. In powder I threw it about 30 ft give or take so plenty of throw power. I never needed to go higher than 2nd gear to clear snow. Love the steering controls on the handles too. Just a press of the turn lever the wheel locks so you can pivot either right or left with no effort. The drive lever on the handle is easy & so is the auger (rotating blades) lever. Overall I think this is a great snowblower for a decent price. I highly recommend it.

This is not a good product

I bought this two seasons ago. I only used it for one season. Last season I tried to start it. The blower would not start. The real reason I bought was the fact that the "Yard Machine" I bought 8 years ago had the two tires flat, not having too much experience with snowblowers and being a busy person, I did not have time to think and decided to go to buy a brand new cadet. In the mean time the old yard machine I paid half of the price somewhat 8 years ago is still working after putting the tires. I would recommend this to anybody. A machine should not stop working after using it for one season. It is a brand new machine.

Cub Cadet 2x24 2 stage Stage Blower

Well, to be completely honest, I am writing this review well before any kind of snow in my area for this season. However, I will say that I made this purchase based on the overwhelming number of raves about this product line. One of the big draws for me is what you would call ‘power steering’ which will make turning around at the ends of the driveway less of a PITA

Yes, I recommend this product.
