What did Tractor Supply do?

It was shipped to the store and was still in the crate when I picked it up. What did Tractor Supply do to earn any money from the sale When I unpacked it, there were spots with bare metal, missing paint. All the documentation said not to return item to the store and contact the number in the manual for any issue. I contacted YARDMAX and they said we'll only reimburse you for paint, so go buy some paint with color XYZ and send us the receipt. When I asked what kind of paint (enamel, polyurethane, etc.) and finish (glossy, satin, flat, etc.) they gave me a computer-generated response about the properties of each type and finishes. Sure it works, but the quality was poor and so was the manufacturer's response. So Tractor Supply is just a middle-man, collecting a fee, and not adding any value?

I will never buy a yard max again used it 5 times now and it just keeps falling apart I call the company to complain and get a person accusing me of pulling on the handle of the chute that fell off while using it
