Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I bought this to replace a 3/4 horse pump that went out after 10 years. Took two of us about 2 hours to install. ( no previous experience) pump has been working great on a 60' well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great pump works great took several attempts to get it going because the instructions were really vague. Written for someone that already knows how to set it up not for someone that needs instructions!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worthless I purchased this pump and attempted to use it - it flat out will not pump ! I primed the well until water was running out the suction side line as well as the pressure side , turned on the pump and nothing pressure zero . I found that the pump was actually pushing pressure out both the suction and pressure sides !? this is the second county line pump I have purchased , I also bought a septic pump and had troubles with it as well , upon replacing that one with a red lion pump all my troubles went away . I thought that possibly I just got a bad one in that instance and decided to give them a second chance due to price - bad mistake on my part , I will never purchase anything county line makes again !

Can this be used for a well deeper than 70 feet

Asked by: Snake
The CL520 cannot be used where the depth of the water is greater than 70 feet. The well can be deeper that 70 feet but suction lift is based on the depth to static (standing) water level in the well.

I need a pump for pumping pond water.  Does the CL520 have drain plugs for winter storage?

Asked by: wolf man
The CL520 does have drain plugs for winter storage. They are located near the bottom of the pump head.

Everytime this pump goes to cycle I have to help it get started, using a flathead in hole cut into the fan guard. This is the second one I have put in within 24 hours. Both have the same problem. I have tried both 110 and 220

Can I use a single suction line on a shallow well and what effect would it have?

Asked by: Texans for Trump
It can be set up with the ejector kit attached to the face of the pump so that there is a single line from the pump to the well.

I’m using the cl520 to pump from a pond but can only get 20-25 psi no matter what I do with the pressure screw. What do I need to do to get 35+ psi? I’m only pumping about 10 vertical feet.

Asked by: Ag2342
Please ensure you have the proper voltage selected in the flat box on the top of the pump. Also ensure that the proper nozzle and venture were selected for the jet kit. The jet kit must be used whether it’s a shallow or deep well. If one of the ports on the front of the pump is simply plugged, it will not build pressure. If that is not it, check for suction leaks by putting foaming shaving cream over any joints and fittings on the suction side. Run the pump and if the shaving cream dimples, that indicates air is getting sucked in from that point. Re-seal the connection and see if that fixes the problem. If you’re still having problems, please call us at 1-800-535-4950.
