Survived rocky clay soil

Going 4 feet through rocky clay soil is honestly pushing this thing beyond its limits, but 6 holes later and it’s still going. Some of the auger wings got bent a little from stubborn rocks along the edge of the holes but I can’t complain. I do wish the shaft was about 3” longer. To go 4 feet I have to bury the gear head into the ground, and even then there’s a bit of hand digging to get down there. Overall good purchase. I can’t imagine digging these holes by hand.

Does the job it's designed to do but if you go at it to hard you will bust your sheer pin. I would recommend but encourage to not try and not dig a hole to fast.
