Easy to assemble, just need to attach the auger to the motor and it's ready to go. Started for the first time with just 3 pulls. Used it for 15 post holes with no issues so far. Plenty of power for the sandy Florida soil. Good product for the price point. Can't comment on durability yet.

Adequate for general hole drilling, but needs work

This little auger was adequate and did help to drill holes for some wooden fence posts for livestock, but I found that it bogs down to the point of stopping rotation in heavy clay soil. The flights are too short top-to-bottom for drilling the advertised 36" depth - you can only get about 24-28" maximum depth and that is with dropping the power head all the way to the ground. Counting the top 6" of bare shaft and the 4" drill bit point on the bottom of the auger in the overall depth/length of the auger is misleading. I will say that the drill bit is a nice feature as it helps to keep the auger centered until the cutting edges start engaging the soil.

Simple to attach the auger to the motor and straight forward to use. Our soil is moderately rocky and it’s a bit of a challenge to get the fence post holes dug even with the auger. Kind of rough on the wrists and shoulders when hitting rocks, but I’d hate to dig these without the auger.
