Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real Time Saver Had a small project, (Paw-Paw duty) Residential backyard fence, replace two post. But short period of time to do it, like one day, and that was cut down to a couple of hours. First hole I was able to dig by had, which was good, because the AT&T guys missed marked his Fiber Optics and the post hole was right on the line. Second hole, well was extremely hard clay. My hand held digger simply bounced. The Earthquake was new, just out the box. Assembled it, put in fuel, and away we go. Took a few minutes, but the hole was done post haste (see what I did there)!

does this run in both directions? ie can you back out if you get stuck on a rock or root?

Asked by: Jim P in KY
Jim, this does not have reverse, as long as you are clearing the hole while you are drilling by picking it up this isn't a common occurence. Thanks!

Is there an adapter that can be used on the Earthquake One Man Auger to install or drill anchors into the ground for tie down?

Asked by: Bottom
Good afternoon and thank you for contacting us. We currently do not make an adaptor for the Earthquake augers as it is not common to use it for drilling anchors into the ground for tie downs. If I understand your inquiry, however, it seems you are looking for something that would help you drill anchors into the ground. We manufacture Eskimo brand ice augers and ice shelters. We make a drill adapter to be attached to a power drill to assist in drilling ice anchors into the ice. If you would like to look further into this, you may go to the website, www.geteskimo.com. The part number for the adapter is: 18734. There is a pack of 2 ice anchors, part number: 69138. There is also a kit that has two 6 ft. tie downs along with 2 ice anchors, part number 24260. Hopefully these will help with what you are trying to accomplish. You may order parts on the website, however, if you have further questions about the product and not finding the information on the website, please feel free to contact our Customer Service line at 800-345-6007, option 1 then option 1. Thank you and have a great evening.

can i put this on an ice auger?

Asked by: wayne l
No, the ice auger isn't geared to put an earth auger bit on it. Could cause serious injury or wreck your unit, please do not attempt.

Will this operate horizontally? I'm digging under a sidewalk for a 4" downspout drain.

Asked by: Rich42276
Hi, you are able to drill horizontally as the engine is able to drill in all positions. We do not recommended to drill horizontally for safety reasons, but the engine will operate in any position. Thank you!

I presume an auger does not come with this unit? Maybe I am missing it, but can't see where that is specified. Thanks.

Asked by: Sparky991
No, this does not come with the auger bit. Most customers want an auger bit for the job they are looking to use it for, so we sell them separate for the flexibility of purchasing a size that works best for you.
