If only the cutting edge or tip broke off, you can purchase a replacement carbide cutting edge (often part number S24122200) that hooks on above the screw point rather than replacing the entire 6-inch auger bit.6 months agoHelpful?

Q: Does county line stand behind their augers. I purchased mine 2 days ago and while digging the first hole one of the teeth bent down so it is in line with the shaft. Was using a low power tractor and seems like this should have not been an issue.

I bought the 6 inch auger to replace a bent 8 inch auger. It fit perfectly on my older post hole digger. Used it to set some 10 foot 4x4 post and some 8 foot round post. Dug down 2 feet in heavy clay with no problem. So far so good for the price. Was about $20.00 cheaper than other stores.

Bent the cutting tooth mount

Under normal use, my auger bent the cutter mount... not exactly happy about that. The cutter mount shear bolt should have let go first. This is the original shear bolt. This auger has only been used 2 times.

This auger bit is junk. I barely did 30 holes with it within a day of purchase and it started to fall apart. Cleary they use a low carbon non heat treated steel that rips and distorts
