Q: Will the trailer hook up to a exmart mower

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, the trailer will physically connect. The CountyLine 25-Gallon Tow-Behind Sprayer uses a universal pin-style hitch that easily slips into the standard tow-hole found on most zero-turn and riding mowers, including Exmark. However, you must carefully monitor the weight capacity of your specific mower model. A full 25-gallon sprayer weighs around 240-260 pounds when filled to the brim. While pulling this weight on flat, dry grass is fine for most medium-to-large Exmark machines, you should verify that your specific mower’s transmission can handle the load. Attempting to pull this much weight up steep inclines or across soft, wet turf can quickly burn out the hydro-gear pumps. Additionally, you will need to rig a way to wire the 12-volt pump's alligator clips to the mower's battery or find a way to power it

Should hold up decent!

Caught this sprayer on sale, picked it up and the box was in rough shape. Found products not related to the sprayer in it, but looked like the major components were in it. Got it home, was missing some 5/16 bolts, couple 1/4” washers and the cotter keys were too short. Luckily it was all stuff I have around in bulk. Anywho, assembly was pretty straight forward and only functional item that was missing was, of course, the drain plug. Fortunately I had a cap off my old sprayer to throw on it. Also, not sure if it’s supposed to come with the fill screen or not but it wasn’t in there either. Sprayer doesn’t seem “industrial” by any means, but seems decent. Upgraded the hose clamps from the jump to something twice as wide. Filled it with some water, hit the button and it fired right up. Hose diagram was wonky, but bottom 90 is for wand sprayer, valve with stub off it goes to the boom. Seems like it’ll cover good, low enough I don’t see drift being a large issue unless you’re in a tornado. Paint was good so I hope rust and corrosion aren’t an issue later and both nozzles spray consistently in even patterns. The water that did lay out the nozzles seemed to adhere to the grass blades good. Time will tell how it holds up but I wouldn’t stop the bad reviews from you purchasing it. FWIW, if your buying a sprayer, I haven’t found one yet that doesn’t have some sort of annual maintenance/ winterizing and parts to swap from time to time.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and practical review! We're glad to hear assembly was straightforward, the spray pattern performed well, and that you’re happy with the overall unit and coverage. We sincerely apologize for the rough box condition and missing hardware, drain plug, and fill screen. It sounds like the package may have been opened or damaged prior to pickup. We also really appreciate you pointing out the importance of annual maintenance and winterization—that advice will be super helpful to other users! FimcoInc

Great unit, poor packaging.

My sprayer was delivered in an open box. Inventory of parts appeared that everything was there. When I got it home and started assembling it I found that the hardware package was not the correct hardware, nuts/bolts were different threads, bolts were way too long and wrong diameter etc. Fortunately I had enough spare hardware to assemble it. Once assembled it works very well. I am very happy with it's spray pattern and ease of use. I have sprayed a couple of acres with it I would guess it sprays about 15 gallons per acre when towed behind my zero turn.

Poor quality!!

I purchased this sprayer last summer and at first it was great. When I assembled it the switch was broken but I called the company and they shipped me a replacement. I've only used my sprayer a few times but so far one of the clips has already broken that hold on the spray nozzle and I noticed that the plug leaks. My mom bought one last fall because she liked mine so much. When we assembled hers, one tire was flat so we had to fix that but it still goes flat and we have to pump it up each time we use it. The cotter pins for the wheels were too short so we bought new ones. One of the clips that hold on the spray nozzle broke on hers too. This spring when we got it out to use it the spray nozzle didn't work so we had to replace it and after a couple uses, the pump quit working and we had to buy a new one. We called the company and they said it was a Tractor Supply problem and Tractor Supply said that they couldn't do anything even though the sprayer wasn't even a year old yet. Also the bolts that hold the sprayer tank to the frame came loose and fell off and we had to replace those. This sprayer is the perfect size for what we were needing but it is very poor quality. I think we have spent more money on fixing this sprayer than we initially paid for it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
