Q&As

Q: I just need trailer I have 15 gallon sprayer

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: you can contact our customer service team to determine if the sprayer you have would fit on this trailer. The tank should have inserts in the bottom to accommodate attaching the tank. Also, there isn't a kit, so the trailer would have to be placed for each of the parts you would need. You can contact our customer service team at 888-433-6631 and they'll be happy to assist.

Q: This is called a boomless sprayer does it spray "downward" from the back of the tank or is it only hand held sprayer use?

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: It's a boomless sprayer, meaning no real boom. The nozzles are located on the boomless manifold that will spray out to the sides and overlap in the center to give full coverage. You also have the capability to spray either to the right or to the left by shutting off one side.

Q: Where does the clip go on the manifold

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: if you're referring to the clip that goes on the boom manifold assembly, then before you install it to the tank, you slide it in from the back side, then install the boom manifold on to the tank, connect your hose to the manifold and push the clip in to lock the hose in place.

Q: Asked about assembly & was told nothing to it.Why mislead about assembly. Asked & was told simple. Over 50 pieces! You LIED

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: Thank you for your purchase of the Workhorse 15-gallon trailer sprayer. Sorry you had issues with the assembly and not sure who told you it was simple that you're referring to. Fimco acquired the Workhorse sprayer line last spring and we know the manuals leave much to be desired for assembly and do have it planned to revamp those manuals at some point and time to give some better assembly instructions. Our customer service team did take this unit and figured out the steps for assembly, which we now need to get into the manuals to help customers such as yourself in the future, just not sure when we're going to get them in the manuals. Again, sorry about being misled, but we do hope that you will like the way your new sprayer works for you. If you have any questions, you can always contact our customer service team at 888-433-6631 and they'll be more than happy to assist you.

Q: Exactly what assembly is required?

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: For the most part, you would need to assemble the frame, then mount the tank to the frame, attach the 2 nozzle boom and drain plug. Beyond that, just hooking it up to your 12V battery and you should be set to go.

Q: rate of gift card

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: Not sure what you mean by rate of gift card, so unable to answer. if you're referring to rate of spray, there is a tip chart in the manual. Spray rate all depends on MPH and pressure being sprayed.

Q: Can an exit tank be hooked up to this to add fertilizer, or insecticides while keeping the 15 gallon tank for water use only?

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: Currently we don't have anything like that. you'd probably need to research online on how to hook up something like that, as I know if can be done, but since we don't have anything like that, it's hard to say how you'd go about that.

Instructions need re-written.

The parts are well-made but the instructions should have been written by someone who actually assembled the sprayer. 1) The wheel hub bolts are smaller than the wheel hubs. There are steel sleeve bushings to correct this, but this is not shown and they don't appear in the parts list. You have to figure it out yourself. 2) You need to adapt the hitch to fit your situation; they might have pointed this out. They don't supply a hitch pin. 3) The boomless sprayer instructions lack vital details which may lead you to damage the nozzles if you don't figure it out on you own. You must seat a guide flange on the nozzle into a slot in the bayonet cap before locking it in place with the washer. This fixes the spray angle. The bayonet caps must be pressed in firmly and rotated clockwise to lock. Be sure the white nozzle is on the left end of the spray bar as you face it. Also the ends of the spray bar rotate and were 180 degress off the illustration, which could be confusing and lead to the quick clip reversed if not noted. 4) My unit had the tee fitting on the loose spray bar hose and the wand hose was fastened directly to the pump. Probably a newbie assembled it.

Larry, thank you for your purchase of the Workhorse 15-gallon trailer sprayer from Tractor Supply. We acquired the Workhorse sprayer line last year and have heard numerous times how bad those manuals are. As for the sleeve bushings, that's probably due to the wheels having to be temporarily being substituted until we receive new stock in. Our engineers have finally received all the necessary files they needed to compose the sprayers into a format that we are able to update the manuals. For the most part over 90% of the manuals have been updated, including this one, but haven't received final approval from the engineers. If you would like a copy of the updated manual, even though you've already assembled your sprayer, there's not only actual assembly instructions, but also better parts breakdowns and other pertinent information, please contact our customer service team at 888-433-6631 and they'll be happy to send you one. For the most part, not much of anything will change in the updated manuals other than possibly a part number change.
Other than the instructions, we hope you'll be happy with the new sprayer. FimcoInc

Thank you for your purchase of the Workhorse 15-gallon trailer sprayer from Tractor Supply. Fimco acquired the Workhorse sprayer line last year and have heard from several customers about the manuals that originally came with the sprayers. We have just now started working on updating the Workhorse sprayer manuals to be more uniform with our line of sprayers and booms. This particular sprayer has had the manual updated to reflect better assembly instructions, as well as other pertinent information and is currently awaiting the final approval from our engineering group. We are in the hopes that most of the Workhorse sprayers and booms, if not all, will be updated before the end of the year. We do hope that you'll be happy with your new sprayer once you start using it. FimcoInc

Boomless trailer sprayer
