Breaking in takes a few days of intermittent wear due to the leather taking awhile to conform to the shape of your foot. Should also plan on swapping out the boot laces with leather laces as the stock ones are too small and light and won't stay properly tied.. One last detail that Carhartt should consider is to add about 1/2 inch of material to above the last boot hook so the tied laces lie on the boot top, not on your sock. Other than those small items, these are good boots once you get them broke in. Enjoy!
