Essential Household Vacuum

The Classic Dustbuster will always be an essential item in any household. We use it for quick messes and especially for our furniture and vehicles with the brush attachment. The only thing I wish I’d done differently is to have bought the version with more attachments. This version only comes with the brush attachment - which is great. I also like the long skinny attachments that go into tiny crevices but will have to get one separately from B&D.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Versatile small and powerful hand vacuum

This light weight hand vacuum is great for quick cleanup of small debris spills all astound my home. The suction power is better than my much older Dustbuster and the battery is a lot longer lasting. It is very easy to open to dump the debris picked up. The charging bracket makes it simple to recharge and store the vac . The warning light with automatic shutoff when the battery is fully charged makes it easy to know the status. The brush attachment can be used to clean furniture.

Design fail

This model is an unfortunate design fail for a company like B&D. Gunk gets stuck in the way too narrow nose of the bin, and no amount of soaking, prodding with a skewer, or blowing with compressed air will dislodge it. Then the whole thing starts to smell -- a rank odor that wafts out with every use. It should not have gone to market with this design, which leads me to believe it wasn't tested in "real world" conditions.

Not the greatest design

I’ve had this product for approximately 5 years, I don’t use it very often but the motor is either broken or there is a charging problem. Doesn’t turn on at all which is why I’m primarily writing the review. I’ve used it primarily to get cat hair off of furniture. The on off button does not stay on. You have to continuously press it to get it to work and I have small hands, with no hand problems, but with the way this is designed my hand does ache after using it. I’m not sure if it’s just been time to replace a battery. But the charge would hold for about 10 mins. I could never get through cleaning everything. Kinda wish it had a cord.

No, I do not recommend this product.
