So happy

Like many of you I was having such a hard time figuring out which mower to go with. I bought a big name brand last year and have regretted it since the day I started mowing. I DID NOT want to make the same mistake again. I went to all the big box stores 2, 3, 4 times to compare. I must have gone to Tractor Supply 5 or 6 times just to look at the mowers they offer as well. I have been on several sites comparing what you get for your money, quality, design, warranty, functionality, comfort and add on options. What I have been reading about the big 4, red, yellow, orange&grey and green brands is the quality is going down but the price is staying the same. In person they seem like they are built tough and look good. Then I saw the bad boy in person. Wow!!! The deck is incredibly solid the framing is over kill solid!!! To be honest I never heard of bad boy before until I saw it at Tractor supply. I started comparing and this is what I found out. Bad Boy has a 5 gallon tank WITH a gauge! The others seem to stop at 2.5 gallons with no gauge. You can step on the deck and not feel like your going to break it when using it as a step to get on your mower. I’m 6’ 200lbs. The others feel very flimsy. How are they going to hold up when you hit a rock or brick and that random small tree stump that got left behind. Your gonna bend the deck with the other brands... not with B.B. This mower actually has springs under the seat and not little plastic half moon shaped "springs" that just clip on. The flap actually stays up when you pull it up... mind blown... why is this so hard for the other brands to understand, good job again Bad Boy OH and this flap will not break when rubbing up against a tree or fence or wall. Easy to work on. Just pull up on the panel and wow there are all the pulleys and belts. No tools needed. I have 2 acres, it used to take me 3-3.5hrs to mow with my old mower. Yesterday it took me 2hrs!!!! Omg, that is with my grass in some areas about 18-20" tall because it took me so long to make a decision. Next time I mow I know it’s going to take less time because I won’t have to go so slow to make sure it chops. I have some serious thick weeds and grass. Took only 2.5 gallons rather then 3.5 gallons from my old mower. I was able to mow in my ditches around my property with no problem, my other mower would always get stuck. I literally would pull my truck out and keep it running because I knew I was getting stuck. this Bad Boy didn’t get stuck once! Last but most definitely not least. The Bad Boy mower is MADE IN THE USA! If you call customer service you speak to an American who speaks English, this person knows and understands the mower. Your not getting some random customer service person at a call center guessing what the issue could be. All in all I am so impressed with this mower from bumper to bumper, never thought I would be talking about a lawn mower like this but it’s the truth. My one regret is that I did not buy this mower first but then again I’m kind of glad it worked out this way so I can actually see how much better Bad Boy is then the other brand I owned. You will not be sorry. Great job BAD BOY, you made a customer out of me for life. I will be ordering a few of the options for this mower in the next couple months and will post a pic. Also, thank you to everyone who wrote a review also. They helped me make my decision as well. Good and bad.

Worst piece of "Equipment" on the market

Let's break it down. Unless you have 2 acres or less of flat ground, this mower is NOT for you. The deck is thinner than a car door. Busted open and had to take it to a weld shop to repair it. Let me remind you, this mower has less than 160 hours on it. IT has seen blown bearings on both front wheels, engine airbox and fuel pump took a dump. The parking break system is the worst rigged up system i've ever seen. Don't depress the lever all the way and you just burned your brakes. Wait, now you've burned your brakes which are right up against the transmission cog, now you've just blown your transmission. Every zero turn I have ever worked with, can last 2000-3000 hours. I have now put more than 75% of what this thing is worth, back into it due to breakdowns and repairs It's got 150 hours. Low power transmissions, slow and ineffecient cutting. It's very lightweigh, so you hit a bump, you stomach or crotch is now slameed into the control bars. Are you over 5 feet tall? Don't buy this. I have also had to replace parts of the deck lift system as they were snapped clean in half. The plastic fenders are incredibly poorly built and poorly bolted on. Metal on plastic with Jarring and Vibration, wore the holes right out. I have owned 3 other mowers with 54in deck and a 725cc mower. This Half of a zero turn, has maybe 60% (Thats more than i'd even like to put), of the cutting power, cutting speed, and speed of the driving. I have now replaced 2 spindles, and I already know that one of those is going, and the one that was never changed out is also about to go. The Choke wire and parking break wire are incredibly fragile. Get ice on it or its a cold day, or if you pull on it too much, you just popped it, and now you have to replace it. I have now burned through, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 7 deck belts for this "Mower". One of the ABSOLUTE WORST things about this mower, is that it is made by BAD BOY. Meaning, there's no aftermarket parts, no second hand, or extra parts. It's all incredibly overpriced at their website. You can also forget about quick turnarounds on breakdowns, slow shipping, and pain in the butt repairs, and no retailers that exist that have parts on hand. You can't grease any of the parts that need to be greased, they are set up as, oh, it breaks and you just buy a new one. This mower may look like a "Commercial Mower" or a "Commercial Zero Turn" it is all but that. It's a arm controlled zero turn style with tractor hydro transmissions that you CANNOT Maintenance or change the fluid. Check out their website and the prices on some of these parts I listed. You may like the low price tag, but after one season, you'll regret you didn't spend the extra money on an actual commercial mower.

TSC

Ordered this mower online, TSC took the money from account but cancelled the order because item was no longer available. Funds now won’t be redeposited to my bank for 48 hours and it’s Friday at 2:30 pm. Not only do I not have a mower, now I don’t have the funds to find something alternatively because they placed a hold on the money despite TSC cancelling order. Be careful purchasing online from TSC especially if they cancel order due to no stock. You won’t get refunded for days.

Powerful!

I have about 3 acres to mow. This replaced a 10+ year old 50" RZT Cub Cadet and there's no comparing the 2. It's doesn't really bog down in damp thick grass. I like how the foot deck lifts up for easy cleaning.

Yes, I recommend this product.

It's not dead yet (but it should be)

Have used it for two years now and going on year three. It is burning gas faster now but I think it needs an oil change and it will be fine. I did something that you are not supposed to do with these mowers, I hauled large, full trees about a quarter mile with a chain wrapped around the back. I cut down six trees last year and had no way to get them out back of the property into the overgrown field. I would cut the tree down and tie it to the mower and haul it (very slowly and smoothly) almost a quarter mile (some uphill) and when I reached the field, I would kick on the blades and it would mow down the overgrown grass (3ft+) in my path and drag the tree at the same time. Even mowed down the little 3 foot evergreen saplings that were springing up in the field. Think I may have strained the hydraulics because one side moves a tiny bit faster than the other now and I have to push the left all the way forward and push the right almost all the way, otherwise the right side goes a tiny bit faster and it turns left slightly but it still runs and turns on a dime and has had no issues other than the fact I forgot to change the oil last year. May have to change the air filter as well but will start with the oil and see how that works. I have put this mower through WAY more than it is supposed to be put through and it still runs like a champ. I have ZERO experience with mowers other than a couple push behinds that I've run before for other people and I am clueless about maintenance and repair so I have not maintained this machine like it should be but, with all that said, It has survived my abuse and torture. I have probably taken a few years off the life of the mower with what I've used it for but for the price I couldn't have asked for more. This mower has never let me down and going on year three. Also, I forgot to add that I mow many acres that were once wild fields and are very uneven with many obstacles (boulders, trees, posts, etc.). Takes about six to eight hours (mostly because of the obstacles, not the mower speed) and about two-and-a-half tanks of gas, and that's keeping it running while I dismount and move things around and whatnot. This thing is a beast.
