Q: Will this help a dog losing hair and has an infection or smell from biting his fur off
23 days ago1 Answer
- A: Vetericyn Plus Wound Care Spray is intended for wound management and can help reduce the chance of a potential infection and help reduce contaminants in the wound bed. It is not a biting or lick deterrent. If your dog has a wound that smells, it could be an infection and should be looked at and treated by a veterinarian.19 days agoHelpful?

Q: Which spray is the best that you can use and don’t have to wrap up the wound and no flies will get on it?
11 months ago1 Answer
- A: There are many variables depending on the type of wound and location. Generally speaking, our hydrogel is best wrapped to prevent dirt and debris from entering the wound area. Our liquid formula does not need to be wrapped and should be sprayed regularly to keep area clean. It will be harder to prevent flies without using an actual fly spray or wrapping the wound completely. Good luck11 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is this safe to use in my dogs eyes ? They are bloodshot
4 years ago1 Answer
- A: Hi Jeancharlie. Our Equine Wound & Skin Care product is safe to use around the eyes, however, the 16oz bottle has a spray applicator that would be too strong for eyes. We don't recommend using Equine Wound & Skin Care in the eye for that reason. Please try our Eye Wash or Ophthalmic Gel instead. They come with a drop applicator designed for safe application of the product into the eye. Thanks for your question!4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this be used on a pup after a ear crop to help it heal faster?
4 years ago1 Answer
- A: Yes! Vetericyn Plus products are great to use for post-procedure wound healing, including areas where ears have been cropped. Most ear crops are wrapped with gauze by the veterinarian so consult with your veterinarian on best practices for administering a topical wound care product in and around the bandages. Good luck!4 years agoHelpful?

Q: I never received an answer if it's safe to spray in my cats mouth, he had all teeth removed & is not healing, hes still bleeding. Back of his throat is swollen & has difficulty eating
5 years ago1 Answer
- A: Hi Katz17--Thanks for sending in your question. Our Vetericyn Plus Antimicrobial Wound and Skin liquid formula is great to use as an oral rinse and is not harmful if licked or ingested. Our liquid formula can help with inflammation and is commonly used by veterinarians for tooth extraction as well. Just be sure to use the liquid formula and not the hydrogel-- We use a silicate in the hydrogel to thicken the solution and would be a chalky taste for the animal. Best of luck and hope your cat's mouth gets better soon!5 years agoHelpful?

Spray bottle
I use Vetericyn on all my horses and swear by it unfortunately I have to buy about 6 or 7 bottles a year due to the sprayer stops working. I just purchased a bottle last week and I have used it 3 times and now it no longer sprays. That is a little ridiculous for the price. Unfortunately I will be looking for a different product.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A must have on hand for rabbits

This stuff is absolutely amazing. My rabbit had some sort of skin rash/infection and this stuff cleared it right up. Her fur started growing back in the area after only a day.
