I've used this to mow a 2acre property about 60 times over the past couple years and everything seems to be working well. The only negative thing that happened is on of the parking brake cables broke. Not a big deal to replace, but annoying.

Poor Quality Control

I've wanted a Bad Boy mower for many years, and this one does a good job... WHEN it's working. Before this mower had 6.5 hours on the meter, I had to work on it three times due to quality control issues, and defective parts. As soon as I began to cut grass, the deck belt was thrown off. Guess it wasn't put on correctly to begin with, as it didn't give any more trouble after I reinstalled it... at least not during the FIRST time I cut my grass. After mowing for a few hours, the left drive kept slowing down. I located a loose nut where the left control handle connects to the hydro-stat actuating rod via a threaded uniball. I finally finished cutting for the first time with the mower reading 4.4 hours.
Fast forward two weeks to when I cut my grass for the second time. About 2 hours into cutting, one end of the tensioner spring for the deck belt snapped completely off rendering the mower unusable once again. Fortunately, I was able to rummage around and find a suitable spring to finish my second cutting. Of course no one had a replacement spring in stock, so I currently have one on order.
I have a lifetime of mechanical experience, so none of these issues were insurmountable for me. Consider what would have happened if I couldn't effect these repairs. I would have had to haul the machine back to TSC or a Bad Boy dealer three times before I cut my grass twice. When you spend the money required to purchase a brand new zero turn mower, that's unacceptable. It almost makes me wonder if Bad Boy Mowers is sending "seconds" to TSC. Perhaps I was unlucky enough to get a "Monday Morning" or "Friday Afternoon" machine. Either way, I expected MUCH more for such a big ticket purchase.

I researched the JDeere 700s ZTR line (local dealer) which was ~$2500 more for comparable transmission. With a little anxiety, i bought the BB Maverick - and i love it. Built like a tank - heavy duty deck, 60in swath, power, speed, perfect golf course cut. No regrets.

Wrong mower delivered!!

Purchase experience was perfect. Delivery experience couldn’t have been worse. Don’t send people out to deliver items with a trailer that aren’t trained to tow or back up a trailer. Wrong mower delivered and that mower showed up at 10:30pm. Who delivers items that late?

No GAS in a $7000.00 mower

When product was delivered we had to put gas in the machine to get off trailer that's right a 7000.00 machine didn't even have enough gas to get off trailer........
