- A: It was super easy to put together. We recommend 2 people and 45 minutes. And you just need to prepare a hand screwdriver or cordless drill. All of our cages will come flat packed – It came with a sufficient pictorial manual. Screws were in marked plastic bags. Panels are stamped and come ready to be screwed together. Many have dowel rods that fit nicely into pre-drilled holes(pre-drilling will prevent any cracks and preserve sturdiness while keeping wood intact). I would not recommend this for “up to 10 chickens”. Maybe 5. The pictures make it look much larger than it is. It would make a great rabbit enclosure. Very disappointed in this product. The wood is very cheap and some of it was already split when we opened it out of the box. There was also a latch broken/missing. The only nice thing is that the roof is actually made from roofing material and is sturdy. Very poor choice for a chicken coop, keep looking before buying this piece of junk.

Look somewhere else

I purchased this hoping to love it. First, the photos it looks purple, it is grey. Everything is poorly put together with tiny staples and looks like a sneeze would blow it down. The pieces that came pre assembled, broke the wood in half. The end of the run, with the sliding door, had been cracked completely from top to bottom. I called in to tractor supply, and they were reluctant to send me just the piece to replace it. I then asked to send me a replacement coop, nope, that had to be sent via drop shipping to the store and not sent to my house. I was offered $75 for just the door. This coop is not worth even half what they’re charging. I would not, will not buy this product again and I do not recommend. I am almost half tempted to recommend buying a coop somewhere other than tractor supply, or build one yourself. The parts are garbage, and for $750 for the coop, buy elsewhere. tractor supply also states they can’t do much because they don’t actually supply it. So watch it! If tractor supply sells something especially third party, they should have a way to contact the company who sells a crappy product. This is not good practice. I am very disappointed in tractor supply over this.
