Q: The manual says the temperature range is 32 degrees to 122 degrees. Does it report temps below freezing?

Q: Can these sensors be placed inside a metal or plastic outdoor water fountain and still broadcast temperature signals? I have Ritchie livestock water fountains that I need to make sure the heat function is working properly in extreme cold weather.

- A: For optimal use we do recommend running the display on the provided adapter as the main source of power and the batteries as the intended back up only. If you are running on battery power the backlight will only be lit momentary when the backlight button is pressed. No High Definition display-needs modern technology

I’ve been searching for a WiFi indoor/outdoor thermometer with a high definition large number display for a long time.
I purchased this model on another website to use to monitor the temperature in our refrigerator and freezer because of the 3 sensors. The fact that you can label each sensor on your display/monitor is a nice feature. However, the display has to be viewed at just the right angle in order to be able to read the information.
As I mentioned previously, I am now looking for a WiFi indoor/outdoor thermometer with a high definition display and easy to read large numbers that you can see from across the room. I don’t understand why Acurite doesn’t make what I’m looking for with modern updated technology with high definition on their displays. It is one of the biggest complaints that I’ve read in customer reviews. I wouldn’t buy a television that I couldn’t see from all angles. Why would I buy a weather station that I couldn’t read from all angles? Please update more of your items with the modern high definition displays. Thank you.

This was a replacement of a 7 year old one we had a sensor go out from the cold this winter it was 2 weeks of below-10, batteries frozen. I have moved the outdoor sensor to right outside the back door.

Limited ability to add name for individual units.

The temperature unit works great and it's easy to read and setup. The only issue I had was that I put two of the temperature units in outside buildings which is great. But one is in the pump house so I can track if the temperature drops close to freezing. The other is an out building where I have my shop. The problem I have is that the standard list of titles for the units doesn't include a shop or a pump house name. So my shop is now called the "barn" and the pump house is now called the "sump pump". This at least allows be to easily see which unit is showing on the main display.

Awesome unit I love it. Only issue is getting the barometric pressure adjusted. It says something about waiting 33 days. Right now in automatic mode, it reads .15 inches of mercury low.
