Q: Does this unit provide any adjustment for altitude - affecting barometric pressure? (Home is at 4,200 ft in SE Arizona.) Temperature reading accuracy? Actual reading +/- ?° (example: +/- 2°)

- A: The manufacturer states the following: "We find our units that offer barometric pressure to be most reliable at about 4000 ft or below. We have however tested the units and find the maximum elevation to be 6000 ft. The station should work at the customers evaluation, but they should understand the higher the elevation the less likely the forecast will be as accurate. This cannot be adjusted. Our tolerance for temperature is +/- 2°."5 years agoHelpful?

LaCrosse weather station

Purchased for my hobby greenhouse so I can track temps from my house until I can get power connected. Picked this because it tracks low and high temps. Has big bright display. Forecast is not accurate because sensor is inside greenhouse but not a problem for me.

I purchased this weather station for bedside use. It's a bit larger in person that I expected it to be, but I do like the large outdoor temp & humidity display. It lights up and has 3 brightness settings (high, low & off), but it's too bright to be on at all at night. The barometric pressure bars constantly cycle, which is useless to me. Also, the website shows 2 colors, medium & dark woodgrain (the latter is what I wanted), but seems it's only available in the medium.
