Q: I am looking to take camping with scouts and want to keep track of low temp during winter for awards. How long does it maintain hi/low temperatures? Need it to keep data for at least 24 hrs over night. IE so I can record the overnight lows.

LaCrosse Weather Station

We are really happy with this weather station. It replaces an old Acu-Rite that we had for years that the outside unit finally bit the dust. The extreme cold temperatures we had this year destroyed the liquid crystal display. The inside unit is small enough to have it on the kitchen table where it's handy and the black letters make it easy to read. The outside unit fit nicely where the old unit had been and since it doesn't have the temperature display we shouldn't have to worry about the exterior unit getting damaged by extreme temperatures. It will be nice having the moon phase with this unit too. I think it will fit our needs perfectly.

It was super easy to set up, numbers are real easy to read, it’s attractive, and the moon phases & being wireless are great extras. I do wish it was larger, but I changed location & it works good.
