freezing temps = shattered glass.

I left a 1/2" of water in the gauge while gone for a weekend in January. It froze, glass shattered, no more rain gauge. Plastic > Glass.

Meh- i placed this on scrap 2x4 piece and placed on lawn, turned sprinkler on for 45 min. I was expecting to see 1/4" or more of water...... saw almost nothing. Needs to be bigger opening for water to get inside.
