Q: how many bags of your lowest price biochar product do I need for 168 ft.² of garden bed?

  • A: Hi Neighbor! General Rule (10% by Volume, 4-6" Deep): 168 sq ft x ~0.33 ft (4 inches) = 55 cubic feet of soil volume. 10% of 55 cubic feet = 5.5 cubic feet of biochar. This means you'd need about 6 bags (if they are 1 cubic foot bags) for a good general mix.
