Good design and gray squirrel resistant

I have a steady stream of chickadees which can empty a regular feeder in a single day. The large hopper is a great feature. It has all metal construction which is essential to keep out the gray squirrels, However the red squirrels have no problem squeezing in. The second photo shows one escaping when I approached.

Love the idea

I love the idea of having a "storage bin" up top but I have had it up a week now and am wondering if the birds which flock to my other feeders will ever decide they want to eat from it. Also it has a white film inside the tube so you and the birds can't see what is in it. It also didn't help that I am writing this review and the price has already come down another $20.00.

The Taj Mahal of bunting feeders

This has got to be the absolute best feeder for painted buntings and other small birds. Though a little larger than you might have expected, it is absolutely perfection. I own several bunting feeders, and this is by far the best.I highly recommend this birdfeeder.
