Beautiful and sturdy. Squirrel proof? The bird feeder itself is beautiful and heavy. It does not weigh down my shepherds hook. I'm also noticing with the sharp angles, it's not really squirrel friendly. Birds came to it straight away. The squirrel couldn't seem to hang on from the top or the bottom. The roof opens but is too heavy for a squirrel to lift. I have had the squirrel proof with the cage and a plastic tube running down the center. The squirrels eventually chewed the plastic portion until the whole thing came down. It took about a month. You definitely won't have a squirrel chewing through this one! Not sure how the mosaic will hold up. But I guess if it lasts a season it's better than others.

Beautiful feeder

It’s beautiful! This was a Mother’s Day gift. It is made of metal and glass. The metal seems sturdy where welded. The stain glass seems the same. The colors are bright and vibrant. We hung it on a shepherd hook in the front yard and there were immediately birds checking it out. Lots of neighbors and people passing by have stopped to tell us how beautiful it is. We love it! Would recommend!

I bought 6 of these at once. Within 3 weeks two of them had fallen to the ground and the cables came disconnected. I had cable clamps and clamper and put them back together. I will put double cable clamps on all of them when I buy more clamps. These are extremely nice and really heavy duty, but the cables do not hold.
