I kid you not, I ordered this 3 times and was cancelled each time after a day. I dont think the inventory is accurate so dont get your hopes up. Took 2 weeks and on the 4th time worked and actually shipped. I chose this safe due to it being light to move upstairs. Im not worried about Fire-Rating as if the house burns I have bigger issues than a few guns. My primary purpose is safety around kids. Install was super easy, 3 inchx 3/8th lag bolt anchored them in nicely. So far after a few weeks its working great. I have more peace of mind which is the goal. Think about what you want as your goal, maybe a heavier fire rated safe…either way this gets the job done for me. 5/5 for product, 2/5 for the cancelled orders but each call to Tractor Supply was pleasant, good customer experience on the phone.

I have been looking at Secureit and Steelhead gun cabinets before buying this. Both are more expensive, the Secureit starts around 700$, the Steehead around 1,600$. My issue was they did not list the steel gauge. Found this for 300$, it has a 14 gauge steel body. Most safes up to the 1,100$ price range use the same steel thickness. I am not concerned about the lack of a fire rating. Honestly, if that a concern for someone buying something to store their guns in they are most likely be disappointed. Fire rating buys some time, common issue with more affordable fire-rated safes is the material they use for fire resistance can damage you firearms. That is before the safe turns into an oven and wood starts to combust and polymer melts. This Safe for the price can not be beat. Most metal gun cabinets are around the same price but are made of thin sheet metal. I took 1 star off because of the capacity, if you own all old style firearms you could hit that 18 mark. If you own rifles made after 1960, you know rifles that have pistol grips detachable magazines, then it will be less than 18. Over all very happy with this purchase so far.

Great safe for the money. I needed a second safe for overflow I couldn’t fit in my larger safe without moving everything around each time so this safe seemed like a good option. It isn’t fire rated which is a con, but it weighs only 190 lbs as a result making it much more manageable to get into the house. I chose to ship to the store in case there was any shipping damage it would be easier to deal with that but it arrived perfect. I was pleasantly surprised at the great service in the store and was helped to load onto my vehicle and had a great conversation with the gentleman who helped me on accessories they had available should I need them.

Nice quality, perfect size for a small family.
