The Hornady Canister Dehumidifier protects firearms and other valuables from rust and corrosion. This dehumidifier's desiccant crystals change color when canister needs recharging. The Hornady dehumidifier can be recharged by being placed in a 300 degree oven until drying graduals turn blue. It has unlimited recharges and does not require any batteries.Lifetime.

A Great Way To Keep The Rust At Bay

These do a great job of keeping our firearms and some precision tools, shin y, happy and free of rust and corrosion. I have a number of them. I especially like the way they are designed to be baked in an ordinary oven once they have absorbed their capacity in moisture. Baking them restores their full function and prepares them for reuse. I also like the way the beads change color to let me know when they need to be baked to restore their moisture protection.

I wouldn't purchase this...

Haven't owned this for 1 month yet. The beads are already pink in my climate controlled home - and in a small gun safe.The top clear window is flaking apart already!!! At least it is not rusty yet.
