Its optimal mounting location is horizontally near the floor of the safe or closet. This humidifier has 7 watts of coverage and is approximately 100 cubic feet. The Hornady dehumidifier's plug may be removed to help install the cord through narrow holes or openings..Lifetime

No Hole for wire.

Will not work with Canon safe. The safe does not have an wire entrance hole. If you drill a hole in safe you destroy it's fire rating.
