Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Wonders I bought this with the hopes it would rid my horses paddock of the strong urine smell after a heavy rain. And this stuff exceeded my hopes. It leaves a nice clean scent and destroyed the ammonia smell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good lime for gardens/food plots. This is a good inexpensive lime for gardens, yards and food plots. Only downside is it has a tendency to compact from the vibration of the spreader. And then won't slide down to the spreader hole. You may have to break up the compaction to get it to continue to spread. Also if is very powdery so wear a face mask. It is too fine to spread by hand very well. But for the price it worth the little bit of extra work.

I've tilled, added gypsum, magnolite, lime pellets, mulch...THEN grew lawn which only died after months & repeated process 4 times now. I have hard clay ground, will this product help break up the compaction? I mean this ground gets rock hard!

Asked by: Turtledove
Yes, this product will open up heavy clay soils.

I want to spread lime on clay to reduce the plasticity index (stop the swelling/shrinking with changing moisture content). I have a spray trailer to pull behind my tractor, Can I mix this lime with water in the trailer tank and spray it over large areas?

Asked by: Ferrari
The manufacturer would not recommend this for that application as this barn lime has some slightly larger particles that could cause issues with your sprayer. THey would recommned Farm & Lawn Lime or Superfine Lime for that.
