VetOne Vitamin K-1 Chewable Tablets for Dogs are made to help counteract the effects of hypoprothrombinemia, a condition that causes increased risk of bleeding. Vets may recommend dogs take a VetOne Vitamin K-1 supplement after accidentally ingesting commercial rodenticides or other drugs that interfere with vitamin K metabolism. The tablets are soft, chewy and tasty to encourage acceptance and they come in 50 ct. containers. Made in USA.How it Works

The body utilizes Vitamin K1 in the formation of prothrombin, a protein that clots the blood.

Keep away from animals and children.

Overdose Information

Immediately contact your closest emergency animal hospital or vet.

Storage

Stored at room temperature, keep away from light sources.

  • Vitamin K-1 supplement for dogs 22 lb. or heavier
  • 50 mg strength tablets containing phytonadione
  • Counteracts the effects of hypoprothrombinemia, a condition that causes increased risk of bleeding
  • Helps form prothrombin, a protein that clots the blood, in order to reduce your dog's bleeding risk
  • Commonly used when dogs accidentally ingest commercial rodenticides or other coumarin-based compounds or drugs that interfere with vitamin K metabolism
  • Sometimes recommended to take these vitamin K-1 tablets as a follow-up to vitamin K-1 injections or hospitalization
  • Soft, chewy tablets have a tasty beef flavor dogs love
  • Scored tablets allow you to halve the dosage if recommended by your vet

Product expiration date was just 2 months after receipt. Ordered 2 bottles & 2nd bottle was 2 years away. This is poor quality control. Store was great about figuring out how to return 1 bottle.

One of if not the only K1 I can find that is this high of a dose, without the need for a prescription.
