The Van Zyverden World's Tallest Cannas Musifolia is among the most colorful summer bulbs - as flamboyant as its tropical American ancestry - with ruffled spikes tapering to refined buds boasting immense, paddle shaped leaves. Their great reedy canes and palmy foliage make for large magnificent outdoor plants even if they never bloom. These low maintenance tropical plants are easy to grow! Each set comes with 5 bulbs.

  • Cannas Musifolia is not really known for its blooms, but more so for its giant tropical textured banana sized leaves
  • Blooms are a reddish coral in color
  • Exotic foliage creates a stunning background with dramatic deciduous seasonal height
  • Ribs and edges of the leaves are trimmed in bronze
  • Outdoor plants prefer moist conditions
  • Tropical plants are deer-resistant
  • Best planted in groups

Cute plants

These are great plants for a clean esthetic look in gardens. However of the 3 I got one did not bloom, and the others do not do well in the heat we have been having. I am looking forward to planing them in mulch around our house for some greenery.

Easy to grow and care for, even I can't kill them.

My giant cannas are not full grown yet but they are already beautiful. They're relatively easy to plant and care for. I have none in small pots to start as hot has been a bit cold still here in the north. I wanted to give them a fair chance to grow. They are going to be so beautiful.

Couldn’t be better

You don’t have to worry about these babies sprouting. They started sprouting before I could even get them out of the box! They’re planted and THRIVING. Plus, so pretty and adds versatility to my flower bed.

Fabulous plant

I am super excited for this plant to keep growing. The first set of photos was just over 1 week after planting the bulbs. I am in WI and zone 5b, so I was a bit nervous about it growing well here. We've had some hot days and some very cold ones (especially at night) and they are still thriving. I will need to take the bulbs in for the winter here, but with how fast it grows, that won't be an issue. The last set of photos with the most growth was from the other day (so planted 1 month ago) I love this plant and its colors!
